ABC6 Reporter Malini Basu has the story from Providence.

A local man lost his newly-adopted pit bull on the streets of Providence, and later found that the dog had been euthanized by Providence Animal Control officers.

Now he’s suing the city, claiming that the officers violated several procedures in euthanizing the dog almost immediately on the suspicion that he was sick, and then claiming to have no knowledge of him.
