I rescued my first dog, a pit bull mix named Lex, 8 years ago and since then I have completely fallen in love with him and all pit bull type dogs. After failing as a foster parent after just 5 days, I adopted my second pit bull Pixie, this time from PittieLove Rescue. She is the most happy, gentle and loving dog and will be a such a great “breed ambassador.” In my experience as both a volunteer and a dog owner, pit bulls have been the most loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dogs I have ever met. As a volunteer I’m hoping to help spread the word and to educate people about this wonderful but misunderstood “breed.” The work I’ve done for PittieLove in the short time that I’ve been a volunteer has been extremely rewarding and I have learned so much.
