Welcome to PittieLove Rescue

PittieLove Rescue Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non profit organization based in MA. We are an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of the American Pit Bull Terrier. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. We work diligently to carefully place them into loving homes where, for all of their remaining years, they will experience the affection and kindness that has been so sorely absent from their lives.

Foster & Save A Life

If you’re not ready to make a long-term commitment but would still like to make a difference in an animal’s life, you may want to consider becoming a foster parent. Fostering a dog is a tremendously rewarding experience and truly saves the life of a dog who would likely not be saved otherwise.

Goodbye, My Sweet Rosie

Goodbye my love, my princess, my everything. Tears are streaming down my face as I type this and they won’t stop.

Rosie came into my life almost 14 years ago after being found on the side of a city street with her Mom and two siblings. She was approx. 4 months old. My baby girl, since day one, has never been anything short of amazing. She loved everyone. Dogs, cats, children alike. She was a Certified Therapy Dog, PittieLove Rescue’s mascot, and a true breed ambassador. She changed many minds about many of the typical misconceptions of pit bull-type dogs. Despite the many health issues (2 torn acl’s, chronic skin issues, ear tumors, removal of her spleen and 3 large masses) that she suffered over the years, not once did she ever show an ounce of pain. Her tail was constantly wagging and she was always willing to share her gentle, loving kisses with anyone who was open to receiving them. Even as she took her last breath her tail was wagging. Part of my heart and soul went with her and I so struggle finding strength to go on. My Poncho, who is not well himself at almost 15 and my girl Cassidy need me as do the many dogs needing rescue. I truly believe that I was put on this earth for a reason and Rosie will show me the way.

“Until one has loved an animal a part of ones soul remains unawakended”
-Anabole France

What we have once enjoyed we can never lose, all that we love deeply becomes part of us”.
-Helen Keller

Until we meet again my baby girl. Love you more than words could ever say.

Thanks and love to my wonderful friends and family for being here for me. I’m forever grateful.

In lieu of cards/flowers please consider making a donation to PLR in Rosie’s memory.
